Hygrophytes, are plants that live in moist soil. Examples of plants that live in humid areas are taro, ferns, mosses.

Hydrophytes, are plants that live in water. Plants belonging to hydrophytes are often found in lakes, swamps, and other watery areas.

Xerophytes, are plants that live in dry areas. Xerophytic plants are often found in hot and arid desert areas. Plants that include xerophytes are cactus trees, aloe vera, date palms, adenium, and dragon fruit.
